Ron Christianson is a seasoned Corporate Affairs executive, an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and Accredited Practitioner of the diagnostic and development tool, Lifestyles Inventory and Group Styles Inventory (LSI/GSI). With more than 20 years of senior corporate experience in multi-national and Fortune 500 companies, Ron’s extensive global business experience and international professional qualifications uniquely position him as a strategic business consultant, communications partner, and trusted executive coach to C-suite and functional leaders.
As a Corporate Affairs consultant, Ron works with some of Australia’s leading brands and promising new start-ups. As a Coach, he partners with senior leadership and emerging leaders across a broad range of industries, including education, energy, infrastructure, corporate affairs, legal, construction and retail.
Prior to establishing Credence Communications and Coaching, Ron was a multi-disciplined senior communications executive with expertise in Communications and Media Relations, Public Affairs, Brand Strategy, Issues and Crisis Management, Sustainability and ESG, Management and Internal Communications, Customer Relations, Stakeholder Engagement and Events Management. Over the course of his career, he has established a reputation as an objective, analytical and solutions-oriented partner to senior business leaders and corporate communications teams in markets around the world.
As Regional General Manager, Corporate Communications and Public Relations with Toys”R”Us Asia, he provided executive leadership, brand and product positioning, issues and crisis management and strategic communications counsel across eight markets in Asia, including Hong Kong, mainland China, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore and Brunei.
Previously, Ron spent nearly two decades with McDonald’s Corporation based in Canada, Australia, Hong Kong and Japan. In his most recent role as Global Head of Corporate Relations, he was responsible for driving brand experience, public relations, reputation management and crisis communication strategies in McDonald’s 83 franchised markets representing 13,800 restaurants across Asia, the Middle East & Africa, Europe and Latin America.
